- All students must take courses totaling 15 credits per year. Most students take five one-credit courses per term. However, Health and Human Development and some applied music instruction allow for exceptions to this practice. (See the note at the music department section.)

No student may take more than five full-credit courses in any term.

No student may take fewer than four full-credit courses in a given term.

No student may take courses totaling six credits in a given term except for ninth-graders and new 10th-graders, who may take five term courses, 2/3 credit in applied music or dance and 1/3 credit in health.

Students must take partial-credit applied music courses in consecutive terms to earn diploma credit, unless they are a part of Music 450. (See music course descriptions.)
