Will you be a day student?
If you’re applying as a day student, you’ll complete the same application and take the same test as boarding students. So be sure to follow the directions for your grade level.

Please note: In cases where there is a possibility of relocation to the Exeter area, we process a candidate’s application as a boarder until such time as the family has moved to an address in our day area.
In cases where an applicant living in a boarding town seeks day student status, we ask families to petition the Admission’s Committee in writing. The petition need not be lengthy. Please indicate the reasons for wanting to be a day student and how the student will get to and from the Academy each day. Please send the written request to Michael Gary, director of admissions. In mid-March, families will learn of the committee’s decision–whether the student will be admitted and whether he/she will be admitted as a boarder or a day student.
