2008 Ellis "Anvil" Storytelling Prize Competition

Friday, May 9, 2008

7:00 p.m.

Kaplanoff Periodicals Room - Class of 1945 Library

The 2008 Ellis "Anvil" Storytelling Prize Competition will be held on Friday, May 9, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the Kaplanoff Periodicals Room in the Class of 1945 Library. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

The R.W. Ellis "Anvil" Storytelling Fund was established in 1983 to "introduce and foster storytelling at the Academy." The fund periodically sponsors a visiting storyteller, such as Connie Regan-Blake, who performed earlier this year.  The competition is held each spring among members of the student body. Students often make up their own stories, captivating an audience that is largely unfamiliar with this art form.

Come and be entertained on May 9.
