Boys Lacrosse: 2008 Season Roundup

Overall record: 13–4

With 19 seniors leading the way, Exeter defeated perennial powerhouses Noble and Greenough, Avon Old Farms, Brewster Academy and Loomis Chaffee. The Nobles 10-9 victory occurred in the sixth sudden death overtime to make it the longest game in Exeter lacrosse history. The four losses were all very close games by a total margin of eight goals. This was the 10th straight year with double-digit wins for the season, also a school record.  Individual honors included High School All-American recognition for top scorer Nick Laster '08, as well as defenseman Sam Gardner '09. Nick's 47 goals established an all-time record for an Exeter midfielder. Tom Clayton '08 was named an Academic All-American, while Ted McKenna '08, Matt Rawson '08, Eric Eberhart '08, Eric Slingerland '10, Nick Laster, Eddie Williams '08, Sam Gardner, Matt Callahan '09, and Tyler Page '09 were named All League for Eastern New England Division I. Ted McKenna, Eddie Williams '08, and Nick Laster were also voted to play in the prestigious senior East-West Prep All Star game.
