The Farm and Garden Club, also a part of ESSO, not only volunteers on small, local farms, but also works in the Academy's school garden.

The school garden was born out of a student Green Fund proposal. JY, class of '07, believed that Exonians should be exposed to where food comes from and the basics of organic agriculture. Heading into its third season, the school garden has seen over 40 different varieties of fruits and vegetables, and involved students, employees and their children. The school garden has adopted a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) model, giving the majority of produce to those who tend the plots.
