Gordon Coole, M.Ed., L.A.T.C.
Head Athletic Trainer

Gordon joined the PEA faculty in 1987. Prior to joining the Exeter team, he earned his B.S. from University of New Hampshire and his M.Ed. from University of Virginia, and previously worked at Boston University.  He is a member of the Athletic Policy, Environmental and Mind-Body committees as well as the Wellness Council. He has served as President of both the New Hampshire Athletic Trainers Association and the Independent School Health Association and was a founding member of the NEPSAC Sports Medicine Advisory Council. Gordon is a dorm affiliate in Knight House and lives off campus with his wife Tracy, and his sons Devon and Finley.

Kalya Medina, M.S., L.A.T.C.
Assistant Athletic Trainer

Kalya joined the Exeter team in July 2008 after working at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island for four years as an assistant athletic trainer.  She also worked as an assistant athletic trainer/teacher at the Hill School in Pennsylvania for one year.  She earned her B.S. from the University of Maine in Orono and holds an M.S. in Sports Health Care from the Arizona School of Health Sciences in Mesa.  While in Arizona, Kalya worked at Brophy College Preparatory as an athleic trainer and teaching aide.  Kalya is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association as well as the National Strength and Conditioning Association.  She has earned her strength and conditioning specialist certifcation as well as a certification in massage therapy.  Kalya is a member of the Safety Committee and the Health and Wellness Council as PEA.  She is a dorm affiliate in Browning Hall, lives off campus, and enjoys being outdoors.

Nick Laurence, L.A.T.C. 
Intern, Athletic Trainer

Nick is joining PEA sports medicine after graduating from Colby-Sawyer Collee in 2009 wih a B.S. in Athletic Training.  At Colby-Sawyer, Nick worked as an athletic training student at Cardigan Mountain School (all fall sports), Colby-Sawyer women's lacrosse, Dartmouth College (football), and Kearsage Regional High School (all spring sports).  During Nick's college experiencs, he gained insight and knowledge in the current and cutting-edge techniques of concussion management.  He was also a member of the varsity swimming and diving teams.  A native of Newton, Massachusetts, Nick enjoys exercising and playing hurling (the national sport of Ireland) in his spare time.

Tracy Coole, M.Ed., L.A.T.C. 
Per Diem Athletic Trainer

This is Tracy's 5th year working at the Academy.  She first came to Exeter in 2004 as the Assistant Athletic Trainer and has since worked on a per diem basis to help with the busy athletic schedule at PEA.  Tracy earned her B.S. in Physical Educaton & Athletic Training from the University of Vermont and her M.Ed. in Athletic Administration from Springfield College.  Prior to moving to Exeter, she worked at Northfield Mount Hermon School for three years.  Tracy is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association and serves on the Women in Athletic Training Committee. Tracy is a dorm affiliate in Gould House and lives off campus with her husband Gordon, and two boys, Devon and Finley.
